The City of Yonkers Superintendent of Schools made a presentation to parents, faculty and neighbors on Wednesday, February 12th regarding plans to renovate School 30. Six new class rooms will be added to the west side of the existing building replacing four classrooms in the existing modular structure which will be removed. The renovation is intended to address serious learning environment deficiencies in the existing building with no plans to increase student enrollment at the School 30 campus. They are planning to break ground about a year from now and complete the project in time for the 2022 school year. The Superintendent and his staff are making every effort to communicate with the community and we expect at least one more information session to take place in the coming months as their plans and schedule further develop.

There will be a School 30 Renovation Project Informational meeting on Wednesday, February 12th at 4:30 p.m. at School 30 (30 Nevada Place). The purpose of this meeting is to inform neighbors as to what impact project may have on the neighborhood.  All are invited to attend.
